Edinburgh Royal Highland Show
A celebration of farming and livestock, where farmers and breeders from all over Scotland gather to compete for prizes at the Royal Showground, just a stonesthrow from Edinburgh airport.
The competitors pride themselves in how well-bred their animals are, reflecting on the quality of the meat they provide. The show also has the largest festival of food and drink in Scotland.
NB: if you are travelling to or from the airport when the show is on, allow lots of extra time for your journey.
Address: Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh
Date: 21 - 24 June 2007
Cost: £18 per day, but if pre-booked before 18 June £16. Concessions available.
