Airport hopeful on award

Edinburgh Airport could be heading for an award after almost two-thirds of passengers gave it the thumbs-up in a recent survey. 64 percent of people surveyed by the Co-operative Travel scored the quality of service and facilities at the airport as ‘good’ to ‘excellent’.
Management at the airport are hoping that its good reputation will translate into votes in the Star Awards, the largest scheme of its kind that rewards travel providers that have excelled over the year. Gordon Dewar, managing director at Edinburgh Airport, said: ‘Despite the challenging economic backdrop, we have emerged as the fastest growing of the UK's major airports.'
