Delta axes Atlanta route

Delta Air Lines has announced that it will not operate its summer service between Edinburgh Airport and Atlanta due to the cost of fuel. The route was due to start in May. The airline will continue its Edinburgh to New York JFK flights.
A spokeswoman for the US airline said: ‘As a result of the increase in fuel prices over the last year, Delta is working to ensure that routes are operating as fuel-efficiently as possible. Scotland remains an important market in Delta.'
