Roadworks causing passenger misery

Passengers have been warned to allow extra time to drive to Edinburgh Airport, as roadworks near the hub are currently causing up to 40-minute traffic jams. The problems have even seen some passengers leave their car and walk half a mile with their suitcases to catch their flight, due to the gridlock on the access road.
The roadworks are restricting traffic on the roundabouts at the junction of the A8 and Eastfield Road. High volumes of traffic at peak times travelling to nearby offices or events at the Royal Highland Centre are adding to the misery.
