Flybe to axe Kent flights
23.12.11
Flybe will axe its flights between Edinburgh and Manston Airport in Kent in March. The airline announced today that it will cease operations at the Kent airport at the end of the winter season.
Flybe launched its Manston to Edinburgh service in May 2010, also operating flights to Manchester and Jersey from the Kent airport for a period. An airline spokesman said: ‘We tried different routes and the numbers simply are not there. It is impossible to sustain routes without the passengers.’
The airline said passengers booked on flights after March would be contacted and offered a full refund or tickets on alternative flights. To book edinburgh airport hotel or edinburgh airport car park at the lowest price, click on these links to two great edinburgh airport car parking and edinburgh airport hotel price comparison pages.
