Even greens against drop off fee

Scotland's Green Party have come out against Edinburgh Airport's proposed £1 drop off fee, describing it as ‘simply one more way to screw money out of travellers’, the Scotsman reports. The party, which supports the principle of cutting car journeys to the airport, said the charge would simply be a tax because it is too small to change drivers' behaviour.
The announcement means that all of the political parties in the Scottish Parliament have expressed their opposition to the ‘kiss and fly’ charge. The Scottish Government said last week that ministers do not support the fee either, for similar reasons to the Greens.
