Flybe encouraged by Kent flight sales
19.03.10
Flybe reports that its recently announced daily Edinburgh to Kent (Manston) service has attracted strong sales in record time, with many flights already over 50% full. Early sales have been booming since the flights went on sale last month, resulting in load factors that are comfortably ahead of Flybe’s original forecasts.
A spokesman for the carrier said people continue to snap up flights, ensuring they get the very best value for money fares offered on this new route. The flights offer regional travellers the only scheduled flight to be operated out of Kent International Airport, and whilst a large percentage of passengers are travelling to Scotland, growing numbers are now booking to take summer flights from Edinburgh to the Garden of England. The flights start on May 27th.
