Flybe plane makes emergency landing
17.04.09
Emergency services at Edinburgh Airport were scrambled to the runway today after a flight reported hydraulic problems as it came into land. However, the Flybe plane touched down without problem 15 minutes later. It was not clear what caused the problem, but it sounds like a faulty warning light.
Airport fire engines, medical vehicles and police were notified of the problem after it was relayed to the airport tower just before 08:45 by the captain of a Flybe passenger jet on its final approach. A spokesman for the airport, said: ‘The crews were stood down after about 14 minutes when the plane landed without problem.’
