Premier Inn plan airport hotels in Scotland
16.09.09
With plans to build four big new hotels at London airports including a total of 1570 rooms, Premier Inn, the budget hotel chain owned by Whitbread, has signalled its intent to become the UK's largest airport hotels company, the Scotsman reports. And it is 'casting an eye over airports north of the Border', the newspaper claims.
John Bates, head of acquisitions for Whitbread, told the Scotsman: ‘Airport hotels are part of our expansion strategy in Scotland, as well as in the rest of the UK. We are looking at other UK airport sites. Some of these are in Scotland.’
