Flyglobespan celebrate passenger milestone at Edinburgh Airport
15.06.08
Flyglobespan, Scotland's largest independent airline, achieved a passenger milestone from Edinburgh Airport yesterday. The budget airline has flown 1.5 million passengers via the airport since it was founded in 2002.
Founder and chairman Tom Dalrymple said: ‘I'm delighted to have reached this milestone. As an Edinburgh man myself, it was my desire to offer locals a wide choice of destinations direct from Edinburgh Airport. I'm delighted that, with the continued support of our passengers, this dream has been made a reality.’
We are pleased to see that the budget airline did not use the milestone as an opportunity to have a cake or to give the 1.5 millionth passenger a free fight. It is nice to see that it has stayed true to its Scottish roots!
