Ryanair to increase flights this winter
11.06.10
Ryanair will expand the number of flights it operates to a number key destinations from Edinburgh Airport this winter, including three routes to Spain. From November, it will operate three weekly flights to Alicante and four each to Barcelona, Brussels, Frankfurt and Malaga.
A spokesman for the airline, which carried just over 1.5 million passengers to 40 destinations from Edinburgh last year, said: ‘this will help fill the gap left by the collapse of FlyGlobespan. We are very committed to the Scottish market.’ He added that the expansion would increase its passengers flying from Edinburgh to 2.5 million.
