Drug smuggler jailed

A drug smuggler caught with half a kilo of cocaine at Edinburgh Airport has been sentenced to 20 months in jail, the Evening Press reports.
Bartosz Kargul, 26, from Lublin in Poland, was detained by officers from the UK Border Agency after arriving on a flight from Brussels in May. He was sentenced at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday after admitting attempting to smuggle cocaine with a street value of £23,741 into the country by concealing it internally in his body.
