New advertising banners for Edinburgh Airport

A number of advertising banners promoting anything from major international rugby matches to the benefits of its car parks are set to go up at Edinburgh Airport, the Evening News reports.
BAA has applied for planning permission to put up 11 of the hanging banners, each 3 metres high, that would be attached to lamp-posts around the main terminal building. The banners would be used for ‘a variety of marketing and promotional purposes’, with events including international rugby matches and the Edinburgh International Festival given as two examples, the newspaper reports.
The plans also state that the banners could also be used to remind people about the benefits of the airport's multi-storey car park.
