Eight hour delay for Flyglobespan passengers

Passengers at Edinburgh Airport endured an eight-hour wait yesterday after a Flyglobespan flight to Majorca returned to the airport with a fault shortly after takeoff.
A problem with the air-conditioning on the plane operating the 08:00 flight to Palma was discovered shortly after take off. A spokesman for the airline said aborting the flight was a precautionary measure and passengers were not in any danger.
The flight eventually left Edinburgh at 17:00 yesterday. The spokesman apologised for inconvenience caused by the fault.
