Edinburgh airport check in times
You should check the times with your airline or tour operator, as different airlines and tour operators have different rules.
As a general rule, you need to check in:
- · at least 1 hour prior to departure for domestic flights
- · at least 2 hours prior to departure for a European or short haul flight
- · at least 3 hours prior to departure for a long haul flight.
Screens located at the front of the terminal will indicate where you
should check-in.
Make sure you have valid passports and visas for your trip. Some destinations require that you have at least 6 months left to run on your passport for you to enter the country.
Check the luggage weight allowances with your airline or tour operator - they are normally printed on your ticket. Most airlines allow 20kg for economy tickets and up to 40kg for first class.
